Timothy Charvat

Timothy Charvat is a New York native, currently residing in Clinton, who graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020 with a bachelors in Sports Management. Born in Albany, New York, Timothy moved to Massachusetts at the age of four for his educational years, where he would grow to love the sport of baseball, especially the New York Yankees. Throughout his high school and college years, Timothy worked hard running two radio shows. He also worked at his college newspaper section, where he would travel alongside the teams to cover their sports. In 2019, Timothy moved back up to New York, where he spent the last few years working at the Utica Blue Sox organization, a baseball team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, where he did everything but touch the money. Most notably, Timothy works as a public address announcer for the legion baseball teams, where he has been praised for his professionalism, and his dedication to pronouncing the names of the baseball players. When accepted to Newhouse in early 2022, Timothy was incredibly honored and shocked that he got in when he did, as he could now follow in the footsteps of many of his favorite broadcasters, such as Bob Costas. While at Newhouse, Timothy hopes to broadcast/report many sports games, as well as write for the sports section in the Syracuse newspaper. After graduating, he hopes to be a broadcaster for a baseball team, with the eventual goal to be a play-by-play announcer for the New York Yankees.
