Samuel St. Jean

Sammy grew up in West Springfield, MA. He attended high school at Deerfield Academy before graduating with a degree in Classical Studies at Dickinson College. While at Dickinson he served as a play-by-play and color commentator for the student led Red Devil Sports Network. Sammy took over the role of Vice President and Treasurer his Sophomore year before functioning as the organizations President for his final two years. He was able to help create the podcast Speak of the Devils during their COVID-19 break from action. Sammy also did an independent coverage of Dickinson’s baseball team his senior year that included a website, Instagram, articles, and videos made throughout the season. The highlight of his time broadcasting was being able to call the 2022 Roanoke Vs. Gettysburg NCAA DIII Men’s Lacrosse tournament game in the play-by-play role while also filming the Red Devils tournament run. He had an internship in 2021 as one of two-color commentators for the Pittsfield Suns in the Futures League. Sammy played sports his whole life participating in baseball, football, basketball, and a season of cross country. His favorite teams to root for are the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Indianapolis Colts, and the Tottenham Hotspurs. He still finds time for some basketball and golf now with friends but outside of sports Sammy plays watches shows, some video games, and listens to podcasts. His game of choice has been Fall Guys and he is now rewatching Game of Thrones in anticipation of House of the Dragon. Sammy has a dream of being the play-by-play broadcaster for an MLB team but also hopes to call a variety of sports that enjoyed at Dickinson. Sammy has an alternative aspiration of being able to host the ESPYS and a fun fact about him is that he has a twin sister.
