Off The Dome is a web series/TV Show hybrid that uses the lens of sports to dissect social, personal, and cultural topics that relate strongly to and affect college athletes. The name comes from the Syracuse University Dome due to the focus of Syracuse athletes and their relationship to these topics. The show is similar in style to Outside The Lines in how they use sports as a process of telling other related stories and exploring other, greater themes. The show is also similar to Last Week Tonight in the creative process. The show tackles one major topic or issue per episode and uses a central host to explain, analyze, and interview outside guests to give a full representation of the topic. Off The Dome was created entirely by students acting as producers, directors, writers, editors, and interviewer/interviewees. Produced by TRF senior Will Shea, hosted by BDJ senior Jaron May.
