NBC Sports’ Brandon Glass and Rachel Thompson will be visiting Newhouse on April 5 and 6 for a recruiting session with students. An information session will be held on April 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the I-3 Center (NH2, 432/434). Interviews will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the following day. Brandon Glass is the senior manager of editorial and standards, while Rachel Thompson is the senior manager of Olympics and research. Please specify which areas you are most interested in, as it will determine who interviews you.
Opportunities are available in writing, research, content creating, editing and statistics. Within the research realm, there are opportunities with Olympic and Paralympic Games, ticket research and editorial research.
NBC is looking for those with strong writing skills, sound editorial judgement, the ability to work efficiently and accurately under deadlines and a passion for sports. Writers would contribute to NBC’s coverage of not only the Olympic and Paralympic Games, but also the NFL, Premier League and B1G football.
