In his 42-year career at NFL Films David Plaut was a creator and show runner of television series for ESPN, HBO, Showtime, NBC Sports Network and NFL Network. Plaut is a seven time Emmy winner and 12 time nominee.
Among his successes with NFL Network, Plaut has published five books highlighting his knowledge of football and baseball.
Plaut’s career began after he graduated from Northwestern and was hired to work with NBC Sports during the 1975 NFL season before he began his career with NFL Network.
Plaut is headed to Newhouse with a wealth of knowledge and years of experience, ready to share it all with the next generation of sports journalists.
