SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A dynamic duo who started out at Syracuse University as Newhouse students are now taking the baseball and entertainment world by storm.
Biko Skalla and Ivan Traczuk, the voice and content creative behind the Savannah Bananas, both graduated from Newhouse in 2018. Skalla has since been awarded an Emmy with the MLB Network for Outstanding Studio Show in 2020.
Biko earned his degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and Ivan earned his degree in Television, Radio and Film. Skalla who is originally from Saugerties, New York worked for the MLB and NHL where he was a broadcast associate and then an associate producer, before joining the Savanah Bananas in 2020. Traczuk who is originally from Philadelphia, lived in Los Angeles for a few years, where he pursued a career in entertainment. Ivan specifically focussed on writing and producing before joining Biko and the Savannah Bananas in 2022.
