Newhouse Sports Media Center welcomes Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi

The Newhouse Sports Media Center is excited to welcome Jon Morosi, an esteemed baseball writer and reporter at Fox Sports. The event will be hosted by Michael Gross, a graduate student in the broadcast and digital journalism program on the sports media and communications track.

Morosi has been with Fox Sports since 2009. He began his career at Fox as a national baseball writer, later pivoting to television with the launch of FS1. Morosi reported from the field on numerous MLB broadcasts, including the 18-inning thriller during the 2014 postseason that saw the Giants beat the Nationals.

In addition to his television work on MLB broadcasts, Morosi regularly appears on MLB Network’s “MLB Central” and “Hot Stove”. He’s also an active contributor to FS1’s MLB WHIPAROUND and has contributed to NHL Network’s coverage of the Stanley Cup since 2016.

Adding on to his multi-sport coverage, Morosi has worked as a sideline reporter for college football games and has created feature stories on international soccer matchups. He is also an international baseball enthusiast, having been the lead reporter on MLB Network’s coverage of the World Baseball Classic.

A Marquette, MI native, Morosi is an alumni of Harvard University. He holds a degree in environmental science and public policy. He played junior varsity baseball at Harvard for four years and worked on their student newspaper, The Harvard Crimson.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 26 in the Time Warner Room (NH3, Room 327).
