Broadcast and Digital Journalism
Kelsey Snider is from Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science and concentrated in health promotion. While at Colorado State University, she was part of the volleyball team as well as the track team. During her career as a volleyball player, she and her team earned 5 conference titles, and an appearance in the sweet 16 her last season. Personally, she was recognized and earned first team all-conference her last two seasons. The summer of her redshirt junior year, she was part of the Mountain West All-Star team, where she helped represent her team and conference in a tournament in Croatia. There she earned a spot on the all tournament team. After she graduated, she went on to play professional volleyball in Germany. She played professionally for one season and had to stop playing due to injury.
While attending Colorado State University, Kelsey interned with the sports marketing department. Although, most of her experience with sports broadcasting has been from being interviewed as an athlete during her college and professional seasons. She hopes to provide a different perspective. She wants to show that being an athlete is not just working hard on game days, but it is being dedicated to a completely different lifestyle than most people. Kelsey aspires to work for a major sports broadcasting network and eventually make her way back to Colorado, working for the Denver Broncos.
