Bridget Chavez grew up in small town Belen, New Mexico. She double majored at the University of New Mexico and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communications and Political Science. During her undergraduate degree, she worked as a congressional intern on Capitol Hill. Bridget worked as a junior producer for the Today Show in Sydney, Australia, where she covered a range of topics including rugby and soccer. During her final year at UNM, Bridget worked as an intern for the local ABC affiliate covering sports and local news.
Bridget has spent the past two years as a 2014 Teach for America Corps Member in San Jose, CA teaching students with special needs. She is passionate about news and sports and always made sure to incorporate physical activity into teaching.
One day, Bridget hopes to work for a major sports broadcasting network.
